 Lisa Quinlan, MACP

“Teen years are a time of unparalleled growth.  This growth comes through the process of exploring their identity, and discovering and forming who they are.  Teens are no longer children, but not yet adults.  Just as any time of transition can be full of uncertainty and anxiety, this major life transition is no exception.”

“It is an honor to be a part of this unfurling process with each individual, to hold up a kind of mirror to their beauty, to witness their growth, and to offer whatever tools they need to continue to grow into the individual that they would like to be.  It is my desire to offer a place and a presence that allows for teens to work out what they need and who they are becoming as well as helpful dialogue between teens and those who love them.”

Lisa has been working with youth and individuals in a therapeutic setting for almost 20 years. She is a therapist working in private practice who started a year ago as a master’s level intern.  She chose to be part of the Jeremiah Center Counseling Services Staff after she finished her internship because she so enjoyed the faces that sat across from her.

Lisa graduated from Mars Hill Graduate School in the spring of 2009 with a Master’s degree in Counseling/Psychology.  However, she has learned the most about supporting individuation and parenting from her two greatest teachers, her son and daughter.
